Lina Marcussen

Lina Marcussen 

Board member

Lina is a proud member of of the Board of the Martus Foundation. With an academic background in international development and plubic health, she sees equal access to quality health care as a right to everyone and knows the importance of building local projects. With a current position in online marketing for non-profit organisation she hopes to be able to spread awareness and support the development of the Martus foundation. This project is build on local knowledge from experienced hospital staff which is why she is confident it will be successful in improving the lives of many Tanzanians. As Lina has lived and travelled in Eastern Africa many times, and Tanzania was her first visit to Africa, it holds a special place in her hart.

Wilson Lugiko

Wilson Lugiko 

Board member

Wilson is really happy to be part of Martus Foundation. He is a clinical officer (medical practioner) and has been working in different areas in Tanzania, both in rural and urban areas. His passion is to provide primary healthcare to those who really need that. Currently, he volunteers in a public hospital. Martus Foundation is an excellent project to express his humanity to his fellow Tanzanians, and specifically to the one's who face difficulties. He believes that high-quality healthcare must be available for all people,

Marco Nakembetwa

Board member

Marco is a proud member of the board of Martus Foundation. His academic background in pharmacy and his work as a pharmacist, make him believe that accessibility of medicines to those in need can help to improve the quality of their life. Having worked with both public and private health organizations, Marco  extends his wishes to help the underserved communities in Tanzania. Joining the Martus board with like-minded international and national people, who are willing to implement this idea, will help to improve people's health for better living.

Emma Kustermans 

Board member

Emma Kustermans is a proud member of the Board of the Martus Foundation. She has a master’s degree in language with a specialization in literature and Afrikaans and is therefore highly interested in (intercultural) communication and storytelling. She wants to spread the story of Martus Foundation as widely as possible. Her current position in education makes her more than ever aware of the value of knowledge acquisition and transfer. During the past few years, she lived in South Africa twice and visited several other places in the continent, which resulted in a strong devotion for African countries and cultures.

Marin Hagemans

Founder

Marin is proud founder and board member of the Martus Foundation. After visiting Tanzania for the first time, it got a very special place in her heart. She has moved around the world for studies and obtained master's degrees in strategy and business management.  She never lost the special bonding with Tanzania, and more specifically with Fortunatus. Martus Foundation is more than an expression of this close friendship, it is an expression of a shared desire to help others. She hopes that Martus Foundation could realize its goals and make sure no people are disadvantaged in healtcare services as she believes that living a healthy life should be possible for everyone. 

Fortunatus Mabina

Founder

Fortunatus is proud founder and board member of the Martus Foundation. He currently lives in Mwanza region, in the north of Tanzania. He is a medical expert by profession,  qualified in clinical medicine with various experiences in medical practices. It's his hope as board member and founder that,  Martus Foundation will contribute to quality and accessible healthcare services. Fortunatus is passionate about helping others and he cannot wait to contribute to a better, healthier life for people with disadvantaged social and economical backgrounds. It is his greatest calling to help others.

Sjoerd is determined to make his contribution to improve the healthcare facilities in Tanzania. He believes that combining the best elements of both cultures is the best way to achieve Martus’ goal. His background in finance gives him the knowledge and experience necessary to help Martus reach its ambitious goals. Sjoerd is motivated and looks forward to help build improved access to healthcare facilities for the people in Kahama.
