From friendship to action, Fortunatus and Marin founded Martus Foundation to bring together local expertise and global support, improving access to healthcare in Kahama, Tanzania. Their belief is simple: every happy life starts with a healthy one.

Insurance cards
Give a Tanzanian family a year of healthcare. CHF insurance cards are €11 and cover essential care in local hospitals.
Medical camps
Help bring healthcare where it’s needed most, right now. Each camp focuses on the most pressing local health issues, from HIV/AIDS to maternal care, offering screenings, medicine and education where it matters most.
Mobile clinic
Provide vital care to patients who can’t reach the hospital. Our mobile clinic brings medicine and treatments to homes, supported by local funding to ensure healthcare for all layers of society

Thanks to the insurance card provided by Martus Foundation, we were able to visit the healthcare center and get treatment for malaria. We even received a mosquito net so that it won’t happen again!

This camp was so important for our students. Covering topics like gender-based violence opened eyes for both girls and boys. The confidential box provided by Martus Foundation gave students a safe way to report sensitive cases, and the support the team provided was exactly what our community needed.
